Recording Audio Text Material ![]()
| The Problem | top of page |
Although system prompts are usually studio recorded and carefully digitized to produce an optimal sound, transient recordings for such systems are not so simple. Some of these recordings can be awkward to maintain unless they can be set for future activation. There are many examples of such recordings:
- News, weather, and traffic reports
- Homework assignments
- School lunch menus
- Used car descriptions
- Emergency messages
- Events in the area
- Theater billings
- Advertisements
- 'Joke-of-the-Day'

The FAR Systems Ultra-Record Application Module provides all of the flexibility required for any application.
- Maintenance by any number of persons, with security. A person can only record files for which he or she has authorization.
- Maintenance of any number of languages by any number of people
- Recorders hear only the prompts applicable to their authorizations, that is, if you maintain only one language, you do not hear prompts regarding language choices, etc.
- Future activation dates
- Future erasure dates, with or without 'placeholder' recording
- Provision for 'periodic' recordings, i.e., a recording that appears automatically on specified dates each year
- Automatic conformance to recorder preferences, for example, if a person maintains recordings in more than one language, the system automatically plays recording system prompts in the preferred language for that caller

The volume level of remotely recorded audio files can vary by 20 db. The FAR Systems Ultra-Record Module automatically adjusts such files to a constant maximal level so that the system sounds consistent and understandable.
