The FAR Voice Q & A - Survey Application uses PC's, voice interface cards, and special software to conduct telephone question and answer sessions and/or surveys without the need for human operators. Q & A - Survey provides the means to easily construct and run general purpose telephone question and answer sessions that are available to callers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The Q & A - Survey Application is used to administer questionnaires from information in data bases. The application module can mix, in any order, questions that require touch tone responses or verbal responses. There may be up to 1000 different question and answer sessions (surveys) installed in one system and each survey may contain up to 90 questions.
Each survey begins by playing up to 2 greeting/instruction speech files, and each one ends by playing up to 2 postamble/thank-you speech files. Each survey may be configured to ask for a personal ID code from callers.
Each question may require a spoken answer or a touch tone answer of 1 to 20 digits. The number of digits to be expected at each question may be a specific number or may be variable. At each question, the answer given may determine the next question to be asked. Thus, answers can cause branching to a new set of questions or may cause several questions to be skipped.
Surveys are created and edited through menu choices and simple user friendly forms-based screens. Survey responses are tallied and report generators provide automated reporting of results.
The Q & A - Survey Application can be combined in a system with The FAR Voice Outdial Application for automatically placing calls to lists of telephone numbers for the purpose of conducting a survey. The application can be a stand-alone system or can be integrated with other voice/fax/data applications such as voice mail, audiotext, interactive voice response, or automated fax functions.
